2014 Lunar New Year Celebration

Celebrating Lunar New Year is a very important tradition for Chinese, Vietnamese and many other Asian populations.

In Chinese tradition, most people will go to the temple at midnight of the last day in Lunar calendar, which will be Jan 31 of 2014. They will wait for the countdown and then offering the first incense of the new year to the Buddha.

As the only Chinese temple in the Waterloo Region, Waterloo Buddha's Light Centre will have various Lunar New Year Celebrations from Jan 25 to Feb 2, 2014. We welcome everyone come to visit and experience the Buddhism style Lunar New Year.

Starting from Jan 25, fortune bamboos, New Year's special food and hampers are available at Waterloo Buddha's Light Centre and Lotus Tea House.
